We bought this little gem of a cabin a few years back to give my mom a place to escape the city and unwind, but it has not been used enough to justify keeping it.

General Details This 1 bedroom, 420 sqft (12 x 35 foot) cabin is fully equipped and furnished with a full kitchen and three piece bathroom. The interior is beautifully finished in pine completing the rustic cabin feel. The kitchen has a propane range and a mid-sized fridge. The bathroom and kitchen are fully plumbed and can be connected to an existing water and septic system. If these are not available, the included jet pump could bring rainwater into the house for indoor water, toilet flushing and showers.

Mechanical Systems The cabin has a forced air furnace and a power-free, on-demand hot-water heater. If rainwater or trucked water is used, the installed jet pump could be set up with a cistern. A power-free propane fireplace will keep the cabin warm at night without draining the batteries while adding a romantic touch at the same time.

Power System The cabin has a self-contained power system with a 1.8 kW solar array, 11 kWhr AGM battery, Midnite solar charge controller, 4 kW inverter and automatic generator starter (generator not included). The solar array and batteries are less than 2 years old, we installed them after we bought the cabin. The array and battery system can be expanded should you require more power. The replacement value of this systems is $15k.

Roof The roof is standing seam (fasteners are not exposed), meaning it will never leak. The solar array is mounted to the standing seam with a non-perforating mount from S-5.

Siding The siding is real wood, half log and needs to be power washed with a new coat of wood finish. Other than that, it is in excellent condition.

Moving the cabin The cabin is on a skid, making moving easy. We have a spare rig mat if your mover requires additional support to slide the cabin onto the deck. If you don’t have a mover, our neighbour moves buildings and can give a quote should you require assistance.
