The Hino 258U LP (Low Profile) is a very versatile truck. Its low profile, coupled with a combination of superb maneuverability, payload capability and make it ideal for towing, landscaping, delivery of building materials, furniture and general freight.

The 258U LP features the Hino J-series 6 cylinder turbo diesel engine with 260 horsepower mated to a PTO-capable Allison 2200RDS 6-speed automatic transmission. Hydraulic disc brakes with ABS are standard equipment. The 258U LP can also be ordered with optional Hendrickson rear air suspension, ideal for shock sensitive loads and a smoother ride.

The 258LP features an 8,000 lb. front axle and a 17,500 lb. rear axle combined to provide a GVWR of 25,500 lbs.
